FirmFoundation provides move on accommodation
History
Hope Place was established in 2013 as a practical solution for those who are homeless in the Borough of Harrow. The first people to benefit from this accommodation came from FirmFoundation’s Winter Night Shelter 2013. The transition, from street to shelter and into Hope Place, have meant that each life has been enriched and on a stable footing for the future.
The Ark was added in 2021 and provides five additional rooms for rough sleepers with support needs. FirmFoundation now offers eight beds over two properties.
Ongoing Work
FirmFoundation’s move on accommodation Hope Place and Grace House houses up to 3 people in each property.
Individuals move in with FirmFoundation for up to 2yrs, establishing themselves while receiving the appropriate level of support. During this stay a person is able to grow in independence and skills which will eventually lead to secure accommodation of their own.
